“People start martial arts for such diverse reasons. My personal experience has shown that each student is completely different to one another. It only makes sense that we should treat each student uniquely too. My main goal is to bring the best out of everyone regardless of their age, weight, gender, or limitations.” - Sensei Josh
“Sensei Josh Marks is a true teacher. He exemplifies the BBMA Teachers Creed
I will teach this class as if it is the most important class I will ever teach
I am patient and enthusiastic
I lead by example
Sensei Josh has trained with me since 2003. He is currently a 3nd dan in karate and is also a black belt in Kickboxing and traditional Japanese weaponry. He was a full time Senior Teacher for me for many years and was able to bring out the best in all his students. He has also been a member of the NSW State karate team. He never holds back from his personal path of self-improvement which he energetically passes on to his students each lesson and continues to train in his martial arts directly with me. You are indeed in good hands if you find yourself studying martial arts under Sensei Josh.”

Her own training is very important to her, and since starting karate (in 2004) she has found a balanced lifestyle through martial arts, she hopes to share with all students.
Tesshi Erik has spent the majority of his life as a student at Black belt martial arts. He originally started training in karate at the age of 11. Now in his twenties he continues to train and live a happy and healthy life. Tesshi greatly values his own personal martial arts journey and knows how foundational it was in developing his confidence levels and social skills. He continues to show this in every class he teaches, not only inspiring his students but, encouraging them on their journey.
